The makers of the movie initially approached Aamir Khan and Salman Khan for the movie, however, Aamir turned down the role. Later, Sanjay Dutt was approached for the same and he instantly agreed to do the role. The Khans were later featured in the iconic Andaz Apna Apna which was a blockbuster and people still love to watch that movie.

This iconic movie established Salman Khan as an actor. When it comes to the list of finest performances given by Salman, “Hum Aapke Hai Koun” still tops that list. This masterpiece starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit collected Rs 69.75 crores during its release. With inflation-adjusted to the present day, the movie would have collected a whopping Rs 354.7 crore, per Hindustan Times.
Director Sooraj Barjatya had first approached Aamir for the role who didn’t find the script appealing and turned down the offer. The movie established Salman Khan’s career in the film industry.
