As we all know, the song Besharam Rang starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone from their film Pathaan has attracted numerous controversies. The song was released on December 12 and has been the talk of the town constantly for all the wrong reasons. And now, renowned lyricist Manoj Muntashir has reacted to the same.
Talking about the controversy arising because of the song, Manoj Muntashir told Dainik Bhaskar that if the audience is hurt, the makers have certainly made a mistake. The team couldn’t detect the error and it was “simply ignored.”
He went on to say that if Shah Rukh Khan or the director or even the music team had detected the error, they would have corrected it.
Previously, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra warned the makers of Pathaan that if the visuals of the song Besharam Rang are not corrected, the state government will have to rethink the release of the film. He tweeted,
“The costumes are highly objectionable, and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset.”
He further wrote,
“The scenes and costumes of the songs should be corrected, otherwise whether the film should be allowed in Madhya Pradesh or not, it would be a matter of consideration.”
The film, directed by Siddharth Anand and is all set to release on January 25, 2023. The film will also mark the comeback of Shah Rukh on the big screens after four long years.
