Kamaal Rashid Khan, known as KRK, has taken a dig at South Indian actress Rashmika Mandanna for her performance in the upcoming movie Animal.
KRK, a self-proclaimed film critic, compared her acting skills to those of Bollywood actresses like Katrina Kaif and Jacqueline Fernandes.
The film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, is scheduled for release on December 1, 2023.
KRK shared a clip of the Animal trailer on his social media handle, highlighting an intense scene between Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. In the scene, Kapoor is seen holding Mandanna by the neck. KRK captioned the post with,
‘It’s proof that @iamRashmika doesn’t know acting and still getting films. But if films were given solely based on acting in Bollywood, then Katrina, Jacqueline, Nargis, etc., wouldn’t be actresses.’
The tweet has received mixed reactions from netizens, with some agreeing with KRK’s criticism, while others defended Rashmika. One user expressed disappointment, stating, ‘Too bad. She was the only bad part about the trailer. Such pathetic acting.’ Another user commented, ‘Nowadays, it’s difficult to find actresses who know acting #AnimalTrailer.’ A third user humorously remarked, ‘When I saw this scene for the first time, I thought she was speaking some alien language.’
Animal, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, features Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in key roles alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna.
