Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, is one of the most anticipated movies of all time which is made on a budget of whopping 410 crores. The fantasy adventure movie has been written in a trilogy format by none other than Ayan Mukerji. Ayan himself directed the movie as well.
The whole series i.e., all 3 parts will be out in a total period of eight years and the first part was released on September 9, 2022. Along with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, the film also features Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and Shah Rukh Khan.
‘Astra’ in Brahmāstra is derived from a Sanskrit word that means weapon. The storyline of the movie revolves around Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor), who holds supernatural powers. In the trailer, it was shown that Shiva is coming in contact with a bunch of people who have been protecting divine Astras for centuries and they are seeking help from Shiva to get hold of the Brahmastra, a supernatural weapon that can destroy the whole universe.
Junoon (Mouni Roy), the queen of dark forces, is also on the mission to seize the Brahmastra but is challenged by Shiva.
Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva has been produced by Dharma Productions, and Starlight Pictures on an estimated budget of Rs 410 crore according to Financial Express and other media reports.

Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor is playing the main lead in the movie and the name of his character is Shiva. He has reportedly been paid between Rs 25 crore to Rs 30 crore for Brahmāstra: Part One Shiva, as reported by News18 and Bollywood Life. That is almost double the amount of Rs 15 crore which he was paid for his recent film Shamshera.
Alia Bhatt
Alia Bhatt is the female lead of the film, and she plays Ranbir Kapoor’s love interest. The name of the character she portrays is Isha. For her role, Alia has been paid between Rs 10 crore to Rs 12 crore.
Alia Bhatt is currently one of the highest-paid actresses in Bollywood. As per India Today, the darling’s actress was paid a whopping amount of Rs 20 crore for the commercially successful Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Nagarjuna Akkineni
South Indian Actor, film producer, and television presenter Nagarjuna Akkineni is playing a prominent role in the film. The 63-year-old, who has done over 100 films, mostly Telugu, has been paid Rs 9 crore to Rs 11 crore for Brahmastra.
Amitabh Bachchan
According to reports, Amitabh Bachchan is playing the role of Lord Brahma in Brahmāstra. Big B usually charges between Rs 10 crore to Rs 30 crore per film, as per IMDB. For the Ayan Mukerji film, the veteran actor has been paid between Rs 8 crore to Rs 10 crore reportedly.
Mouni Roy
Mouni Roy, the main antagonist, is portraying the character of Junoon – Queen of darkness, for which she has been paid Rs 3 crore.
After Brahmāstra, Roy will be seen in Vikas Bahl’s Ganpath: Part One.
Dimple Kapadia
Dimple Kapadia was last seen on Thursday along with Yami Gautam, Atul Kulkarni, and Neha Dhupia has been paid between Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore for her role in Brahmāstra.
Kapadia will next be seen in Pathan which has Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, and in Jab Khuli Kitaab alongside Pankaj Kapur.
