Prabhas’ upcoming film “Kalki 2898 AD” is scheduled to hit theaters on June 27, 2024. The release date was revealed through a poster shared by the makers. The movie stars Prabhas along with Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles. Nag Ashwin is directing the film.
Following the unveiling of Amitabh Bachchan’s first look as Ashwatthama, anticipation for the upcoming drama has soared among fans. On April 27, the film’s makers announced its release date with a new poster, showcasing Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in their roles.
Fans Trolled Deepika Padukone For Copying Zendaya’s Look In ‘Kalki 2898 AD’
Initially scheduled for release on May 9, 2024, the film’s release date was later postponed. At a press conference, Nag Ashwin spoke about why he named the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. He said, “Our film starts in Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. That’s the title of the film. It’s called ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. It spans 6000 years, a sort of distance in time.”
In the poster, Deepika is depicted with short, untied hair and wearing a brown outfit. Some viewers on social media noticed a resemblance between her look and Zendaya’s appearance as Chani in the “Dune” movies directed by Denis Villeneuve.
