Salim Khan discusses Arbaaz Khan’s recent wedding, where the actor tied the knot for the second time last weekend.
Actor and filmmaker Arbaaz Khan exchanged vows with make-up artist Shura Khan in an intimate ceremony held at his sister Arpita Khan’s Mumbai residence. The couple, who first met on the set of the film “Patna Shukla,” has chosen to remain discreet about their relationship.
The nikah ceremony was attended by Arbaaz’s entire family, including Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, son Arhaan Khan, parents Salim and Salma Khan, as well as nieces and nephews.
In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, Salim Khan, veteran screenwriter and Arbaaz’s father, shared his thoughts on the wedding. Expressing happiness for his son, he stated,
“They decided to get married. Mere hisaab se, ye koi gunaah nahi hai (according to me, it is not a crime). I am happy for him, and I have given my blessings to the bride and the groom.”
When asked about discussions preceding the wedding, Khan replied,
“I don’t think there was any need for a discussion. He is young, educated, and mature and can make his own decisions. There is no need for my permission. If he is happy, then nothing else matters. He just mentioned that he was going to get married, and I said that’s fine. I also feel that it’s better not to interfere in anyone’s life as it causes problems.”
Shortly after the ceremony, Arbaaz shared photos on social media, depicting moments with his bride. In the caption, he wrote,
“It’s you. It’s me. It’s us.”
The Khan family also featured in one of the photographs.
Describing the ceremony, Khan said,
“Arbaaz had called his close friends along with the family. It was an intimate affair, and all the people were happy for the couple. We all are happy for him.”
Social media is abuzz with wedding photos and videos, including a viral clip of Arhaan Khan playing the guitar. Another video shows Salman Khan dancing to “Tere Mast Mast Do Nain” from “Dabangg,” a film directed by Arbaaz Khan. Singer Harshdeep Kaur performed live at the wedding, enchanting the audience with “Dil Diya Gallan,” a song from Salman Khan’s movie “Tiger Zinda Hai.”
Arbaaz was previously married to Malaika Arora for 19 years, with the couple announcing their separation in March 2016 and finalizing their divorce in May 2017.
