As the champions of IPL 2024, Kolkata Knight Riders were awarded a grand prize of ₹20 crores. Meanwhile, Sunrisers Hyderabad, the valiant runner-up, received ₹12.50 crores.
But that’s not all; Rajasthan Royals, who displayed commendable performance in the qualifiers, received ₹7 crores, while Royal Challengers Bangalore, securing a playoff spot, were granted ₹6.5 crores.
Moving on to individual player accolades, Harshal Patel of Punjab Kings claimed the Purple Cap with 24 wickets and pocketed ₹10 lakhs. Virat Kohli, showcasing exceptional batting prowess with 741 runs, clinched the Orange Cap and received ₹10 lakhs. KKR’s Sunil Narayan’s outstanding all-round performance earned him the prestigious Most Valuable Player title and ₹10 lakhs.
Hyderabad was honored with the Best Pitch Curator and Ground Staff award, accompanied by a generous ₹50 lakhs cheque. Additionally, players who excelled in categories like Power Player of the Season, Super Striker of the Season, and Game Changer of the Season were each rewarded with ₹10 lakhs by the BCCI.
