Ex-Bigg Boss participant Rashami Desai has expressed solidarity with Ankita Lokhande, countering remarks made by Vicky Jain’s mother, Ranjana Jain, during her recent visit to the Bigg Boss 17 house.
In a media interaction after her visit, Ranjana Jain revealed that her family initially opposed Vicky’s marriage to Ankita, stating,
“Heroine ko paalna asaan nahi” (It’s not easy to support a heroine).
Reacting to these comments, Ankita’s industry friend, Rashami Desai, shared a video of the interview on her Instagram story and conveyed her disagreement.
In a lengthy note accompanying the video, Rashami apologized to Vicky’s mother, emphasizing that Ankita participated in the show out of love for Vicky and questioned the implication of the financial aspect mentioned by Mrs. Jain. Rashami defended Ankita’s character, stating that she has always been a self-sufficient person and didn’t rely on anyone even before her marriage to Vicky.
She urged Mrs. Jain to understand the challenges of the Bigg Boss show and empathize with Ankita’s situation.
“M sorry aunty. She never wanted to do this show. She did it for her love for @realvikasjainn. And Kharche palna padta hai ka kya Matlab hua aunty? They both had love marriage and use pehle bhi wo road par nahi thi. She’s Anakita Lokhande. Bhale big boss aapke bete par paisa lagye.”
She praised Ankita and said,
“Ladki hamari bhi Khara Sona hai. Sab ki apni ladai hoti hai. Par aap nahi chahti inki shadi tike?? Har Pati-patni main jhagde hote hai. Aur show bhi difficult hai. 2 din main aapke yeh haal hai. 4 mahine nakalegi to aap taqleef samjhengi. Aap ki izzat karti hun. Hamesha karungi. Par yahan aap galat hai.”
Rashami praised Ankita’s strength and resilience, acknowledging that every couple faces challenges and conflicts, especially in a demanding environment like Bigg Boss. She concluded her note by expressing respect for Mrs. Jain but asserting her disagreement with her stance on the matter.
Ye vicky jain or uski mom kese bol sakte h humne chhutt de rakhi hai @anky1912 ko.. What a pathetic statement. It means, no matter how successful a woman becomes in life, her in-laws will never give her respect. #AnkitaLokhande

Media needs to calm down and stop calling Ankita’s in-laws names.
