Talking about the match, before MS Dhoni unleashed the beast in him, CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad also played a brilliant innings of 69 runs off 40 balls and gave a solid start to the innings, while Shivam Dube, who played a brilliant knock of 66 off 38 balls, provided the finishing touch to the side.
Despite a valiant effort from opener Rohit Sharma, who scored 105 off 63 balls, MI couldn’t secure the win. This was due to some economical and sharp bowling from Tushar Deshpande, who took 1 wicket for 29 runs, and Matheesha Pathirana, who claimed 4 wickets for 28 runs.
