It has now become like a ritual for online trollers to mock celebrities vehemently. It is still incomprehensive that what they actually try to establish by subjecting someone to mere hate comments or by insulting them across a platform that reaches out to every nook and cranny of the world.
The trollers leave no expenses in order to validate their comments about a celebrity. The likeliest train of thought that could justify such cheap action from the netizens is criticizing a star makes them look cool.
Kareena Kapoor is one of the most exuberant figures in Bollywood and the way she has always been the face of glittering flamboyance is bound to turn heads on a daily basis. She isn’t excessively active on social media and yet trollers chose to shoot to fame by trolling her.
Last year when she arrived at the chat show of Arbaaz Khan, “Pinch”, she was extremely vocal about the misuse of social media by many as that targets celebrities to a lot of abuse from unknown people.
She chose to pick up a comment that called her an aunty. The exact comment read, “U r aunty now don’t act like a teenager”.
As Kareena Kapoor didn’t really take the comment well, she chose to retort with a counterblast that stayed very well under the façade of grace and humility and yet must have stung the troller.
She responded back, “People are just so ignorant towards celebrities’ feelings and emotions like as though celebrities, actors and actresses don’t have any feelings. We have to just take everything.”
Off late, many celebrities have chosen to fight back against online trollers and the mounting list of celebrities keeps on increasing as the netizens have found themselves roaming around in the wild without anyone imposing a sense of accountability on them.
