This superhit Kannada movie is written and directed by Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Karaganda and is the sequel to the 2018 film K.G.F: Chapter 1 Movie features Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, and Prakash Raj.
RRR – Rs 784.2 crore
Telugu action-drama movie RRR is directed by none other than S. S. Rajamouli who also directed the masterpiece named Baahubali and its sequel. RRR is produced by D. V. V. Danayya and earned Rs 784.2 crore at the domestic box office accordingly. Featuring N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, and Alia Bhatt in lead roles, the story of RRR revolves around Indian revolutionaries, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem’s fight against the British Raj and was made on a budget of Rs 425 crore.
Vikram – 255.4 crore
Telugu film Vikram, written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, is the third highest-grossing Indian film of the year. A remake of the 1986 film of the same name, Vikram, starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil, earned Rs 301 crore at the domestic box office, per ABP. It was made on a budget of Rs 150 crore, per Economic Times.
The Kashmir Files – Rs 248.2 crore
The Kashmir Files, the movie based on the 1990s exodus of Kashmiri Hindus from Kashmir, was made on a budget of only Rs 15 crore, as per DNA, but it earned a whopping Rs 250 crore domestically in a month of its release, as per Hindustan Times. Written, directed, and produced by Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files is so far the Highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2022.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 – Rs 182.5 crore
A sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007), Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, was made on a budget of Rs 65 crore reportedly and managed to earn Rs 182.5 crore at the Indian box office, per IMDb. Directed by Anees Bazmee and produced by T-Series Films, the comedy horror film features Tabu, Kartik Aaryan, and Kiara Advani in prominent roles.
Beast – Rs 139.8 crore
South Indian comedy action movie named Beast centers around an ex-RAW agent’s efforts to rescue people held hostage by terrorists, collected Rs 139.8 crore against a budget of Rs 130 crore, per IMDb.

Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and produced by Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada. The movie managed to earn Rs 126.3 crore at the Indian box office, per IMDb. Made on a budget of Rs 125 crore, the film stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role and is one of the biggest hits of the year.

Another Telugu action-drama film Sarkaru Vaari Paata, written and directed by Parasuram and produced jointly by Mythri Movie Makers, 14 Reels Plus, and G. Valimai – 104.3 crore
This action thriller film Valimai is written and directed by H. Vinoth and produced by Boney Kapoor the story of this movie revolves around a police officer who quests to track down a few outlaw bikers who were involved in evil crimes. Made on a budget of Rs 150 crore the Ajith Kumar, Karthikeya, and Huma Qureshi starrer earned Rs 119 crore in India, per Times of India.
Bheemla Nayak – 114.5 crore
This movie is a remake of the 2020 Malayalam film Ayyappanum Koshiyum, an action-drama film Bheemla Nayak and it earned a profit of around Rs 9 crore. Made on a budget of Rs 105 crore, the film earned Rs 114.5 crore domestically reportedly.

Radhe Shyam – 103.9 crore
