In a humorous mix-up, a woman reviewing the sci-fi dystopian film Kalki 2898 AD confused the character Ashwatthama, portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan, with Ashwagandha, an Ayurvedic herb.
The film, directed by Nag Ashwin and featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan, premiered on June 27 and has received positive feedback from fans and film industry professionals alike.
In a vox pop video that recently went viral, the woman mistakenly refers to Ashwatthama as Ashwagandha. When asked by a reporter about her thoughts on the movie, she mentions
, “There is history, there is Mahabharat,” and continues to say, “Ashwagandha ka pura concept hai. Wo sab hai (There is the entire concept of Ashwagandha).”
Posted on July 2, the video quickly garnered over 300,000 views and more than 4,300 likes, with the numbers steadily climbing. The clip has also prompted numerous comments from viewers.
