Actor Annu Kapoor has responded to the incident where Kangana Ranaut was slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport. Kapoor suggested that Kangana should have taken legal action.
Initially, Kapoor tried to avoid discussing Kangana by pretending not to recognize her. He then remarked that she should have sought legal recourse.
Actor Annu Kapoor, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Hamare Baarah, commented on the matter during a press conference.
When asked about the incident, Kapoor responded,
“Yeh Kangana ji kaun hain? Please batao na kaun hain? Zaahir hai aap pooch rahe hain toh koi bahut badi heroine hongi? Sundar hain kya? (Who is this Kangana? Is she a big heroine? Is she beautiful?)”
A journalist noted that Kangana is now a newly elected MP from Mandi, to which Kapoor replied,
“Oho woh bhi ho gayi! Abhi toh bahut shaktishaali ho gayi hain. (Oh, she has become that too. She is powerful now).”
Pressed further, Kapoor stated that Kangana should pursue legal action against the constable, as he would have done if he were in her position.

The Chandigarh Airport Incident
Kangana Ranaut, having recently won the Lok Sabha election from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, under the Bharatiya Janata Party ticket, was heading to New Delhi for a National Democratic Alliance meeting. She alleged that a CISF constable, Kulwinder Kaur, slapped her at the Chandigarh International Airport due to her recent comments on Khalistan. An FIR was subsequently filed against the constable.
Following the incident, several Bollywood celebrities with past conflicts with Kangana, including Hrithik Roshan, Alia Bhatt, Zoya Akhtar, and Soni Razdan, liked posts about the event. Veteran actor Shabana Azmi also condemned the violence, despite her differences with Kangana.
