During Kim Kardashian’s visit to India for the wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, an old video resurfaced in which Kim called Indian food “disgusting.”
Kim and her sister, Khloe Kardashian, arrived in Mumbai on July 11, 2024, for the wedding. They were warmly welcomed at the Taj Mahal Hotel. Accompanying them were hairstylist Chris Appleton and a team of producers, likely documenting their trip for their Hulu reality series, The Kardashians.
The resurfaced video from 2012 shows Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, discussing Indian food.
Kendall comments that Indian food is “disgusting,” to which Kim agrees. This video recently reappeared on Reddit, sparking renewed discussions.

The video prompted various reactions on social media. Some users criticized Kim for attending an Indian wedding despite her past comments. One user expressed disbelief at Kim’s presence at a billionaire wedding in India, while another defended Indian cuisine, calling it delicious.
Kim Kardashian’s Apology
Kim had previously apologized for her comments when the video first gained attention. She clarified that her remarks were not intended to insult Indian culture but were a reflection of her personal taste. She emphasized that disliking certain foods does not equate to disrespecting a culture.
In NO way was my comment intended as an insult to the Indian people or their culture. This is just my own personal taste. There are a lot of foods I don’t like… I hate cilantro and peppers, and there are definitely some Armenian foods that I personally find disgusting, but that doesn’t reflect my opinions on other Armenian people or my culture. My comment wasn’t intended to offend anybody. We all have our own opinions and tastes and I was simply expressing mine.”
At the wedding, Kim wore a red sequinned mermaid-style lehenga with a uniquely designed choli, accessorized with diamond jewelry. Khloe opted for a beige sequinned lehenga with a full-sleeved choli, complemented by a choker and layered necklace.
