A viral video of a woman slapping a cab driver in the middle of the road at Lucknow’s Kesari Kheda traffic crossing has been making rounds on social media. The video was first shared on Twitter, where the girl can be seen beating a taxi driver mercilessly in the presence of police and causing a massive traffic jam.
In the video, a girl dressed in a white T-shirt and jeans and sports shoes can be seen crossing a street at a zebra crossing even as vehicles were streaming by. The woman then stopped in front of a cab and opened the car’s door to drag the driver out. She pulls him out by the collar and starts hitting the man continuously.
“You’ll run over a woman?” she is heard asking in the video while continuing with the assault. People in the background of the video can be heard saying, “yeh ladki badtameez hai (mannerless), itte der takk koi ladka ladki ko maarta toh fir log kya karte?”
The cabbie was continuously requesting bystanders to call female cops to the scene “Aaplog mahila police bulaye”. The woman also thrashed his phone. “Mere maalik ka phone hai. Main gareeb admi hoon… ₹ 25,000 ka phone hai,” the cabbie was heard saying in the video. Not just this, the woman also assaulted the person who came to intervene.

Meanwhile, people on social media have come out in support of the cabbie and are asking for the arrest of the woman, who assaulted him with #ArrestLucknowGirl trending across all social media platforms.
The cab driver identified as Sadat Ali Siddiqui has also opened up about the incident. In a viral video, the cabbie can be seen saying that all he wants is his self-respect back.

Earlier, he also revealed how rhe police only filed a case against him based on her complaint. He revealed:
“Police did not even take my complaint and kept me inside lockup for 24 hours,”
His lawyer revealed: “The police made them sit in the police station forcibly and also fined the driver,” the lawyer said.
“A complaint was lodged against the woman and against the policemen who wrote the wrong case. Taking action on the complaint a case was registered against the woman in Krishna Nagar police station,”. The lawyer also added that they have also asked the police to take action against cops who did nothing at the time of the incident.
