In a celebratory speech amid an unofficial victory in the US presidential race, Donald Trump praised billionaire Elon Musk. Trump expressed heartfelt gratitude toward the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, calling him “an amazing guy” and sharing moments they spent together during the campaign.
“We have a new star, a star is born: Elon,” Trump told his supporters “He’s an amazing guy. We were sitting together tonight. You know, he spent two weeks in Philadelphia, in different parts of Pennsylvania, campaigning.”
Addressing his supporters, Trump said.
Referencing a recent SpaceX launch, Trump remarked, “Only Elon can do this. That’s why I love you, Elon.”
While no major news outlets, except for Fox News, had formally declared his win, Trump confidently claimed victory, pledging to “heal” the nation. Speaking alongside family members, he described the night as “a political victory our country has never seen before.” Though Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina were reportedly called in his favor, several states were still tallying results.

Kamala Harris’s campaign held off on making any statements. Her team announced she would address her supporters but would not make a public statement until the following day.
Earlier, Musk, who may head a government efficiency commission in Trump’s administration, expressed his support by sharing a photo of himself with Trump on social media, captioned, “Game, set, and match.”
