In a recent explosive interview, Sanju Samson’s father openly criticized some of India’s top cricketers, including MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and former coach Rahul Dravid, accusing them of squandering 10 crucial years of his son’s career. Samson, who has been in sensational form lately, scoring back-to-back centuries in T20Is, is now gaining widespread attention. In the interview, broadcasted on Malayalam news channel MediaOne, Samson’s father was heard stating, “There are 3-4 people who wasted 10 years of my son’s vital career…captains like Dhoni ji, Virat ji, Rohit ji, and coach Dravid ji.” He expressed frustration about his son’s delayed career trajectory, adding, “Despite all the setbacks caused by these four, Sanju only grew stronger.”
Sanju Samson, who made his T20I debut in 2015 at the age of 21, struggled to cement a place in the team until his return in 2021.
