Comedian Samay Raina, who hosts India’s Got Latent, received a compliment from the filmmaker during the episode. In the latest installment of The Ranveer Show (TRS), hosted by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty shared stories from their childhood, discussed their enduring friendship, and teased their upcoming projects, including the highly anticipated Singham Again. During the conversation, Ranveer brought up India’s Got Latent, a comedy-based reality show hosted by Raina, asking if they had seen it.
When the duo revealed they had never watched the show, Ranveer explained that it’s filled with “offensive humor,” but has become a favorite for many, especially adults, and suggested they watch it in private.
Rohit Shetty then complimented Samay Raina’s unique style of speaking, saying, “I like the way he speaks. Samay has a particular style. I’ve seen his segments, and like we say in film, he has a distinct ‘dialogue delivery.’”
This led Ranveer to ask Rohit if he might be interested in casting Samay in his films, to which the director responded with a chuckle, saying, “But I really like that boy. He has a good sense of comedy and a unique way of speaking.” Ranveer also praised Samay’s comic timing, which he noted is a challenging skill to master, and mentioned that Samay’s fanbase spans from ages 7 to 70.
Rohit Shetty continued, highlighting Samay’s distinctiveness, saying, “His pitch is different, and that’s what makes him stand out. The way he performs, his pitch when he speaks, is unique. That’s his style, and that’s what I like about him.” Ajay Devgn, who was listening attentively, nodded in agreement.
The conversation was shared on Instagram by Ranveer Allahbadia, with a caption reading “Rohit Shetty On Samay Raina,” followed by a red heart emoji. Samay quickly reacted to the post, dropping three red heart emojis in the comments. One of his fans also commented, “Samay Raina is the new talk of B-Town.”
