Bobby Deol’s Inspiration Behind the Dance Moves in ‘Jamal Kudu’
Last year, ‘Jamal Kudu’ became a trend, with many attempting to recreate its iconic hook steps. Bobby Deol revealed in an interview with Bollywood Spy that Sandeep Reddy Vanga had allowed him to preview the song beforehand, informing him that it would play during his introduction. When accompanied by the choreographer, Bobby was encouraged to dance freely and with his unique style. Recalling his childhood memories, Bobby mentioned how he and his friends used to dance, often with a glass on their heads after getting drunk. This served as the genuine inspiration behind his hook steps in ‘Jamal Kudu.’
The song ‘Jamal Kudu’ was immensely popular and left a lasting impact on audiences. Originating from an Iranian folk song composed by Iran’s Hazareh Group, it’s an adaptation of a poem by Iranian poet Bijan Smander. In ‘Animal,’ the song was presented as a choir, featuring voices from various artists. The meaning behind the Iranian folk song translates to, “Oh my darling, don’t play with my heart, you are leaving and I am going crazy.”
