During his appearance on Neha Dhupia’s show, ‘No Filter Neha’, Kartik Aaryan made a surprising revelation concerning Ranbir Kapoor, taking a jab at Kapoor’s reputed ‘no PR stance’.
Kartik Aaryan, a highly sought-after figure in Bollywood, has established himself as a reliable presence despite his outsider status in the industry. Although he has encountered both successes and setbacks in his acting journey, he has managed to navigate through them with resilience. Typically steering clear of controversies, Aaryan keeps his personal life discreet. However, a recent disclosure about Ranbir Kapoor has stirred curiosity.
In a candid exchange with Neha Dhupia on her show, Aaryan reflected on his past struggles in the film industry. Recalling his days of hardship, he revealed instances of emotional distress following numerous audition rejections, even mentioning undertaking commercial gigs where he felt disheartened.
I have done those ads also where I would just hold a placard and stand in front of the camera. I used to cry a lot. I used to feel really bad when I was rejected in so many auditions.”
During a Q&A session with Dhupia, Kartik Aaryan was asked whom he would designate with the “PR Darling” title.
Surprisingly, he nominated Ranbir Kapoor, a departure from Kapoor’s known stance of eschewing PR management, claiming to handle his public image independently.
Ranbir Kapoor, in a previous interview with Times Now, had expressed skepticism towards public relations in the industry, highlighting its potential pitfalls. While acknowledging its utility when employed judiciously, Kapoor cautioned against its overreliance, cautioning that it could foster an unhealthy fixation on image rather than talent.
Kartik’s disclosure adds a layer of intrigue to Kapoor’s public image, challenging the narrative of his purported aversion to PR machinery. he said,
“PR is the death of an actor. What happens is when you use PR the wrong way, you start believing it. People who plant articles about themselves or about other people, it becomes a very addictive game. And you start believing that my stardom is dependent only on how many times my face is featured on the cover of a magazine. I think PR is something you have to use intelligently, where your skills are concerned.”

In another context, during a football event in 2022, Aaryan received marriage advice from Abhishek Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor, both married men themselves, with a playful suggestion to avoid tying the knot.
“They were saying don’t marry.”
Kartik Aaryan’s revelations prompt contemplation on the dynamics of public image management in Bollywood, especially in light of Kapoor’s perceived stance on the matter.
