Gurdas Maan recently gave an exclusive interview to TV9 Hindi Digital, during which he discussed the trending “Dil-Luminati” tour by Diljit Dosanjh. The high ticket prices, nearing ₹19,000, sparked questions about affordability, to which Maan attributed the issue to inflation.
Diljit’s Concert Ticket Prices and Inflation
In the interview, Maan highlighted that inflation plays a crucial role in the current pricing. He said, “Just look at how inflation has changed things. In earlier times, a ticket costing ₹100 was considered reasonable, and people would happily attend concerts. Compared to those days, ₹19,000 doesn’t mean much for someone eager to attend the show. What truly matters is the craving and desire to experience the performance.”
“Mahangai dekh rahe hain kitni hai babaji, pehle ke dinon mein 100 rupee ki kitni keemat thi, lekin log ticket lekar dekhne aate the. Pehle ke samay ke muqabale dekha jaye to 19 hazaar koi maayne nahi rakhte hain, unke liye jo dekhne wala hai show. Paise maayne nahi rakhte sunne ki talabb aur khwahish wo maayne rakhti hai.”
Maan also emphasized the importance of character, stating, “Being an actor and singer is one thing, but being a good human being is what truly counts.”

Only Attended Michael Jackson’s Show
When asked if he had ever attended a concert by purchasing a ticket, Maan shared that he had only attended Michael Jackson’s show, which he attended to fulfill his child’s wish. He recalled, “That show featured several Bollywood stars, including Govinda and Anil Kapoor. We stood on our chairs to watch. Experiencing Michael Jackson’s performance changed me in many ways.”
Gurdas Maan’s New Album
Currently, Gurdas Maan has released a new album titled “Sound of Soil.” The first track features Shivangi Joshi and is titled “Main Hi Jhoothi,” showcasing Maan’s dance skills. He mentioned that more songs from the album are set to be released soon.
