An alarming incident in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has shocked the community. A housemaid, who had been employed by a real estate businessman’s family for eight years, was discovered mixing urine into the dough for making rotis. This disturbing revelation came to light as the family began experiencing unexplained liver problems, prompting serious concerns. Following the investigation, the police arrested the maid.
How Was the Maid Caught?
The troubles began when multiple family members, including two children, started suffering from similar liver issues. This prompted the businessman and his wife to investigate further. Despite receiving medical treatment and avoiding outside food, their health continued to decline.
Wife of the businessman, Rupam Gautam, decided to monitor the maid’s activities in the kitchen. To do this, she installed a hidden camera. The maid, identified as 32-year-old Reena, was filmed allegedly mixing urine into the dough. The shocking video, captured on Nitin Gautam’s mobile phone, revealed a disturbing reality the family had been unaware of.
Arrest and Confession
After gathering the video evidence, the family filed a complaint with the police, leading to Reena’s arrest the day after the incident came to light. Initially, she denied the allegations, but once confronted with the video, she confessed.
Reena was arrested on October 15 by officers from the Crossings Republic Police Station.
According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Wave City, Lipi Nagaich,
“During interrogation, the maid initially denied the allegations. However, upon being confronted with the video, she confessed to her actions. The maid claimed she was motivated by revenge after being frequently scolded by her employer for minor mistakes”
Reena later admitted that her actions were driven by a desire for revenge due to her employer’s repeated scolding over small errors in her work.
