Diljit Dosanjh’s eagerly awaited Dil-Luminati tour arrived in Jaipur on November 3, 2024, with high expectations from fans. However, the event, held at RIICO Industrial Area in Sitapura, quickly drew criticism for inadequate security, with attendees reporting that around 80-100 phones were stolen. Concert-goers also highlighted the lack of basic amenities, including drinking water, which they say forced them to rely on others to stay hydrated.
One fan shared a video on X (formerly Twitter), explaining that their phone was stolen shortly after arriving and that around 100 people were at the police station filing similar complaints.
Another attendee described how, after realizing his phone was missing at the end of the show, he encountered numerous others in the same situation. Despite filing an FIR, attendees reported minimal assistance from police, leading many to question the security and management standards at the concert.
My experience at the Diljit concert in Jaipur, labeled #Diluminati, was quite disappointing. We arrived at 2 PM to secure spots close to the stage, having purchased gold tickets priced at ₹7999 plus 18% GST. Unfortunately, the management was extremely inadequate; there was no pic.twitter.com/OaxlfPMPHB

Fans also expressed frustration over the cost of tickets, with one concert-goer lamenting that they had paid “Rs. 7999 plus GST” for an event that lacked proper safety measures. The chaos intensified after the show as the crowd exited, underscoring the absence of effective crowd control.
One fan said,
“The situation worsened after the concert ended. As we made our way towards the exit, I realized my phone was missing when I reached into my pocket to book a cab. It had been stolen. I retraced my steps and searched everywhere, only to find around 15-20 other concert-goers in the same predicament, also looking for their stolen phones. We then rushed to the Sanganer Sadar Thana police station to file a complaint. They did provide us with a copy of the FIR but offered no further assistance.”
“Now, I’m left wondering whom to blame—was it the concert management that charges so much for tickets yet provides no security, or the police, who, despite the presence of 600-1000 officers, seemed clueless? After the concert, there was complete chaos as the crowd rushed towards the exit, highlighting the lack of effective management and safety measures.”

Adding to fans’ grievances, many reported there was no water provided, a concern particularly troubling in Jaipur’s hot climate. This experience echoed complaints from a previous event in Delhi, where fans reported delays and insufficient amenities.
Diljit Dosanjh’s fans have since taken to social media, sharing their disappointment with the event’s poor organization and lack of security, hoping for improved conditions in future concerts.
