Celebrating their T20 World Cup triumph, Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli and his teammate Yuzvendra Chahal expressed joy after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. The victorious team, fresh from their return from Barbados, where they clinched the title, was hosted by PM Modi for breakfast at his residence on Thursday.
The meeting, which included moments of warmth and shared success stories, underscored PM Modi’s encouragement for Team India to aim for greater glory.
Visibly pleased Virat Kohli described the occasion as a tremendous honor and extended gratitude to PM Modi for the invitation.

Yuzvendra Chahal also expressed appreciation for PM Modi’s support and motivation during their meeting.
The Indian cricket team spent approximately 90 minutes at the Prime Minister’s residence on No. 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, before heading to the New Delhi airport. From there, they proceeded to Mumbai for further celebrations and felicitations.

The team received a warm welcome at the New Delhi airport, where fans gathered despite early morning rain to cheer them on. Kohli and his teammates acknowledged the crowd and took time to interact with fans before continuing to their hotel. Later in the evening, the team is scheduled for an open-top bus parade along Marine Drive in Mumbai, followed by a felicitation ceremony where they will receive a cash prize of Rs 125 crore from BCCI secretary Jay Shah.
The entire event highlighted the camaraderie between India’s cricket stars and their appreciation for the support received from PM Modi and their fans across the country.
