In Ismailpur village, Uttar Pradesh, a Karwa Chauth celebration took a tragic turn when a husband, who had been eagerly preparing for the festival, lost his life. His wife had been fasting for his longevity, but the situation took a dark twist when she suspected him of infidelity. According to reports, the woman, Savita, poisoned her husband, Shailesh Kumar (32).
Officials from the Kada Dham police revealed that Savita and Shailesh had an argument in the evening, but they reconciled during dinner.
While they were eating, Savita asked Shailesh to fetch something from a neighbor’s house, and she quickly fled the scene. Shailesh was rushed to the hospital, where he made a dying declaration on video, claiming that Savita had poisoned his food. Unfortunately, he passed away during treatment. Savita has since been arrested and is in custody, while the body has been sent for a postmortem examination.
