Twitterati Lauds Pakistan Umpire, Who Stood In The Rain Till The DRS Results Came Out

Cricket is a gentlemen’s game, over the years, cricketers have proved this fact with their performance and discipline on the field. However, this time an umpire has won our hearts with his commitment towards work. He proved that no matter what but when it comes to game and discipline nothing is more important.

Well, recently, the match between Sri Lanka and England was disrupted by the rainfall but the former team had done enough to get it in their hands.

The England cricket team had to chase the target of 367 runs, which they miserably failed at chasing. 8 wickets of England were already down at a score of just 132. The 27th over going on, when Liam Plunkett couldn’t understand the delivery of Akila Dhananjaya which proved to be a reason of lbw out.

Aleem Dar, the Pakistani umpire gave his decision as ‘Out’ but Plunkett opted for the review. While everyone was still waiting for the review and decision, the rainfall started and all the players and umpires started moving towards the dressing room, this is when the umpire Aleem Dar showed his commitment towards his work.

Aleem waited in the rain for the impending decision and after the review it was found that his decision was right. It was an Out so he raised his finger once again declaring it an Out and then moving outside the stadium.
