Chennai Superkings have got themselves a senior citizens roster in the IPL Auctions and Twitter could not hold back from trolling the CSK for making a mess out of the auctions. Most of the players bought by the Chennai Super Kings happen to be in their upper 30’s.

While other teams decided to go for young talents who hold the future of the game, Chennai Super Kings went for senior players. Chennai surprised everyone in the auctions when they went after senior players and ignored the young talents.

CSK: THE NEW HOME OF SENIOR CITIZENS OF CRICKET

Chennai Super Kings became a butt of Twitter jokes as they used most of their resources and budget to get players who are well above 30 years of age. They bought Harbhajan Singh who is 37 years old and same was the case with Faf Du Plessis who is 33 years old. Most of the players bought by the Chennai Super Kings are in upper 30’s and maybe they have not played very smartly in the auctions.

 

The Chennai Super Kings used their Right To Match card to themselves Dwayne Bravo who is 36 years old and Faf Du Plessis who is 33 years old. They could have used their Right To Match cards for some really promising youngsters who were a part of their squad but they used it for players too aged for the format perhaps.

The Chennai Super Kings fans were very happy to see MS Dhoni comeback to the team. But now it seems like the fans are really disappointed by the roster the Chennai Super Kings has got for itself in the auctions.
