Twinkle Khanna’s “Controversial” Statement On Viagra Is Trending On Twitter

Twinkle Khanna is also one of the most popular female writers in India. She is also a producer and her upcoming movie, Padman, in which her husband and one of the most popular Bollywood actors, Akshay Kumar is playing the lead role.

There is a lot of excitement among the fans, specially female fans, for Padman. It is a real life story of a man who dedicated his life in making sanitary napkins for women in the rural parts of India at much cheaper rates.

Recently, in an interview, Twinkle Khanna highlighted an important issue of many American states imposing taxes on menstrual hygiene products like sanitary pads but keeping Viagra, used to treat erectile dysfunction, tax-free.

While speaking on Victoria Derbyshire’s show on BBC, Twinkle raised the question of why sanitary pads are taxed in many American states but not viagra.

She added, “Because policies are made by 65-year-old men with erectile dysfunction.”

Twinkle Khanna gave a talk at The Oxford Union, the world’s most prestigious debating society, on Thursday. The 43-year-old actor-turned-author addressed the scholars and their also promoted her upcoming movie ‘Padman’.
