Internet these days has become a mode of gaining publicity – be it positive or negative. To add, it has become a platform for moral policing. People have no qualms to express their thought and views about everything publically.

Like the two sides to a coin, this also brings alongwith the affirmatives, a lot of trolling, slamming and slut-shaming.

People do not hesitate to post obnoxious, derogatory comments and remarks to gain uncalled publicity which also goes a long way to make lives difficult for others.

Of late, Disha Patani, the M.S.Dhoni actress, has found herself in the turmoil of all this social rebuke and trolls. In the recent past Disha had been shamed for her bold photoshoots, which had been posted on the social media. However, Disha did not take things silently – instead she gave befitting replies to the trolls.

Disha had taken to her Instagram handle saying –

“Have been reading so many news lately on molestation and rape! When people in our country are worshipping goddesses what a shame for not being respectful enough to know certain boundaries that make you a human and not an animal!

It is easier to judge a woman in the basis of how much they cover up their skin, but it’s hard to accept your own cheap mentality where you can’t stop staring at those inappropriate areas which you are asking her to cover!

Wake up and start accepting that we are not going to be anybody’s idea of an “indian girl”. Don’t let your frustration destroy somebody’s life because you won’t be happy if it happens in your own family! Stop this hypocrisy and open your mind! “

Not that anything from the above said excerpt from Disha made any difference to any of the trollers. Disha had recently done a hot photoshoot for a brand and had posted them on her Instagram handle. The photos had turned out to be stunning, but as it may be it started a controversy.

Disha’s photos eventhough were amazing but people ensured posting unwanted and derogatory comments. They went on to even advise her to expose less.

Such unbelievably bad remarks for someone who is in a profession by her own choice. This should stop but will this ever, we hardly know.
