Virat Kohli Praised Mohammad Irfan And This Is How The Giant Speedster Replied

Virat Kohli’s interview with Gaurav Kapoor on Breakfast With Champions has become a big hit among cricket fans, not just in India but across the world.

The Indian captain is, arguably, the best batsman in world cricket across all three formats of the game and his hard work and hunger for more commands respect.

Over the years, we have seen Virat Kohli work extremely hard on his game and fitness, and establish himself as one of the greats of modern day cricket. Coming back to his interview, Kohli spoke on variety of issues ranging from his relationship with Anushka Sharma and his on-field relationship with MS Dhoni.

It can be said that it is easily the most candid and entertaining interview of Virat Kohli till date. Gaurav Kapoor, who likes to call himself “the bearded face of IPL” has taken some brilliant interviews in the past, specially Ashish Nehra’s, but the way he made Virat Kohli comfortable and asked questions that many fans wanted to know deserves respect.

During the interview, Virat Kohli was asked about the toughest bowler he has ever faced. Kohli said that he hasn’t faced the former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar but he saw him bowl once in Dambula and he looked very intimidating.

“I have never faced Shoaib Akhtar. But I have seen him in a game in Dambula against Pakistan. I got out. I couldn’t face him. He looked lethal. When I saw that, I realised what it would feel like after his ball hit the batsmen on the body,” Virat Kohli said.

Virat also mentioned another Pakistani speedster Mohammad Irfan’s name and said he is also a very intimidating bowler to face because of his height and the kind of bounce he generates even from some of the flattest wickets in the world.

Mohammed Irfan must have watched Virat’s interview and he wrote a very good message for the Indian captain on Twitter.

Mohammad Irfan wrote: “What a gentleman @imVkohli is! Great player with a great heart. Prayers for you my friend. Hope that we play more often in grounds. #Respect
