The world lost the most precious gem today. The genius 76-year-old scientist took his last breath yesterday. Dr. Stephan Hawking’s death came out after 5 decades, when the doctors told him that he only had two years to live.
Time and again, his theories, his discoveries has changed the way we look at space and time. But his life was way beyond his experiments and discoveries in the field of science.
Here, we bring you 12 lesser known facts about the genius scientist, have a look:
- Dr.Stephan Hawking was born on the death anniversary of Galileo and died on the birth anniversary of Einstein:
Yes, this is the major coincidence, Dr.Hawking was born on January 8th, 1982, on the 300th death anniversary of Galileo, who was also a genius scientist. Dr.Hawking died on March 14th, 2018, on the birth anniversary of the most genius scientist to have ever born, Albert Einstein.
2.Dr. Stephen was a mediocre student in school:

He also appeared in his own documentary shows Stephen Hawking: Master of the Universe and Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking.
8. Stephan Hawking once lost a bet on black holes:
Once Stephan Hawking made a bet on this with fellow scientists, on the black holes present in universe. He believed in the information that what goes inside a black hole gets destroyed after its evaporation but later came an ‘information paradox’ that said that this concept conflicts with the rules of quantum mechanics.
Although, technically the bet is still on and the world is yet to discover if he won or lost.
9. Dr.Hawking has written books for kids:
