Swara Bhasker, known for her bold responses, has once again taken down trolls targeting her appearance and wardrobe choices after her marriage to Fahad Ahmad. Social media platforms like X and Instagram have been abuzz with comparisons of her “before and after” pictures, sparking online chatter about her weight and clothing.
Swara’s Response to the Online Criticism
Swara recently addressed the trolling head-on by sharing a meme that juxtaposed two images of her: one showing her in a simple salwar-kurta with her head covered post-marriage, and another of her in a western outfit from her acting days. The meme insinuated she had shifted to a more “conservative” look after marrying a Muslim man.
In her signature sarcastic style, Swara posted additional pictures of herself post-marriage, including two with her husband Fahad, wearing western outfits such as dresses and an off-shoulder gown. She captioned the post,
“I didn’t realise my wardrobe choices post marriage are a national cyber debate (bizarre!).. Here are more pics of me post marriage to give Sanghi vermin more fodder for their dung.”
She didn’t hold back in addressing the religious stereotypes being imposed on her husband, writing,
“I’m sorry @FahadZirarAhmad doesn’t fit your stereotype of a conservative Muslim husband. Lol!”

Swara tied the knot with Fahad Ahmad, a student activist and politician, in February 2023. The couple welcomed their daughter, Rabiya, in September 2024. Fahad, previously associated with the Samajwadi Party, is now a member of the Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) and contested the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections from Anushakti Nagar, Mumbai South-Central.
