Rohit Sharma Makes An Unexpected Statement On His First Meeting With Yuvraj Singh


Rohit Sharma is one of the sweetest timers of ball in world cricket. In the last 5 years or so, he has worked extremely hard on his game and established himself as one of the most destructive batsmen in world cricket.

Recently, Rohit Sharma appeared on popular Youtube show ‘Breakfast with Champions’ which is hosted by the bearded face of Indian Premier League (IPL), Mr. Gaurav Kapoor. It is a show in which Mr. Kapoor invites legends from the world cricket and other sports as well, and talk about life, career and everything else in the most candid manner.


On Breakfast with Champions, Rohit Sharma revealed a very interesting story about his first meeting with Yuvraj Singh. Rohit Sharma and Yuvraj Singh are close friends is a fact well established and well known to Indian cricket fans. In fact, Rohit’s wife Ritika is Yuvraj Singh’s ‘rakhi’ sister.

While talking to Gaurav Kapoor, Rohit Sharma recalled his first few encounters with Yuvraj Singh. Rohit said that his first impression of Yuvraj Singh was not too good.

“I used to fear the players. The first time when I was to board the team bus with other players, I reached the lobby one hour earlier. I was waiting for everyone. They came slowly but Yuvraj was looking different from far sight. I was a big fan of Yuvi,” Rohit Sharma said.

Rohit also said that once he was on the bus and was seated on one of the seats when Yuvraj came to him and said in a very indifferent tone, “Did I know whose seat it was? Did I know who sits there?”
