The tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak ever since the Pulwama attack. The past few days have been very tragic for the whole country.

As a mark of respect to the Indian soldiers our Indian cricketers dedicated the third ODI against Australia to the Indian soldiers. The men in blue sported special Army caps during the third ODI against Australia. The Indian cricketers also donated their match fee to the National Defence Funds.

While this gesture won the hearts of every Indian out there, it irked the Pakistanis who left no stone unturned to slam our cricketers. Even the information and broadcasting minister of Pakistan, Fawad Chaudhry accused India of politicising the game of cricket and thus demanded a strict action from the International Cricket of Council (ICC).

Not just this, but Fawad Chaudhry also went on to say, that  if the Indian team keeps on doing such things, the Pakistani team should also wear black bands to tell the world what injustice India is doing with the people of Kashmir. He wrote :

“‘It’s just not Cricket’, I hope ICC ll take action for politicising Gentleman’s game … if Indian Cricket team ll not be stopped, Pak Cricket team should wear black bands to remind The World about Indian atrocities in Kashmir… I urge #PCB to lodge formal protest”.

Here, have a look at his tweet :

Pakistan’s foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi also joined him and demanded a strict action from ICC against Indian cricketers.

However, as per Times Of India, the BCCI had already taken permission from ICC for the Indian cricketers wearing camouflage military caps to pay their tributes to the martyrs who lost their lives in Pulwama attack.

Well, if you aren’t aware then we should tell you ICC rules do not permit wearing of caps other than national caps. But this was the first time that ICC gave the permission to BCCI to wear camouflage caps. The military caps were distributed by the former skipper MS Dhoni who has received the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel and it is being said that the idea came from him.
