Natalie Winters, who recently took on the role of a White House Correspondent, has strongly criticized those who deemed her outfit inappropriate on her first day. In a detailed post, she highlighted her professional achievements, stating that she has broken more stories than “most mainstream reporters” while also graduating from the University of Chicago in just three years.
Controversy Over Her Outfit
Winters, co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room, shared photos of her first-day look, which included a black top, white collared shirt, white skirt, white socks, and matching sneakers. Some online users labeled her attire as “too casual” for the White House and suggested she dress more “formally” for the position.
Reacting to the criticism, Winters took to X (formerly Twitter) to express her frustration.
“A few deranged haters didn’t like my sweater and now it’s a story? This mean girl energy is unreal, and you didn’t even ask for a comment,” she wrote.
She further defended herself, saying, “At 23, I’ve broken more stories than most mainstream reporters—stories that you all tried to censor and suppress by labeling them misinformation. And I did it all while graduating from UChicago in three years.”
Support and Backlash
Many users rallied behind Winters, with one commenting, “They hate you because you’re everything they’ll never be.” Another added, “The sweater is classic. You are gorgeous. Ignore the haters.” A third wrote, “You look great. They are just jealous!”
However, Winters has also been a controversial figure. According to Daily Mail, she has previously described herself as “transphobic” and has made several posts critical of the transgender community. Recently, she was labeled an “Islamophobe” after a remark on Piers Morgan Uncensored, where she claimed that Islam was “conducive to paedophilia.”
