A recent comment made by Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) chief, Simranjit Singh Mann, regarding filmmaker and politician Kangana Ranaut has sparked widespread outrage online. In response to Kangana’s statement about the farmers’ protest, Mann’s remarks have been labeled shocking and inappropriate by netizens.
Kangana Ranaut, who is currently promoting her upcoming film “Emergency,” recently claimed in an interview that during the farmers’ protest, “bodies were hanging” and rapes occurred.
Reacting to her comment, Mann made a controversial statement, suggesting that Kangana has a “lot of experience of rapes and how they happen,” further implying that people should consult her to understand the crime.

Mann’s comment, which was reported by the Free Press Journal, went viral, provoking a strong backlash on social media. Outraged users condemned his statement, calling it disgusting and demanding strict action against him. One user wrote, “You don’t like her statement on the farmers’ protest, that’s okay, but this is disgusting. People should not blindly follow individuals like him and Kangana. Shame on you, man.” Another user called for police action, saying, “This piece of crap must be given belt treatment by the police.”
What Kangana said was based on facts, yet all leftist feminists attacked her, none of them will now speak out against this ridiculous statement undermining the modesty of women.

For context, during her interview, Kangana had claimed that women were raped during the farmers’ protest and described the protest as a “conspiracy” involving the US and China. Her statement led to significant backlash, prompting her party, BJP, to clarify that her views were personal and did not represent the party.
In response to the controversy, Kangana, 38, stated, “I was reprimanded by the party leadership, and that’s fine with me. I do not think I am the final voice of the party.”

On the professional front, Kangana was last seen in the film “Tejas,” which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office. She is now gearing up for the release of her directorial debut “Emergency,” where she will portray the late Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film is scheduled to release on September 6, 2024. Kangana also has several other projects in the pipeline.
