Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan experienced a terrifying night when an intruder broke into their home, demanded a ransom of ₹1 crore, and attacked Saif after his demand was denied. However, a startling revelation from the police investigation has now surfaced: the attacker initially intended to target Shah Rukh Khan’s residence, Mannat.
Failed Attempt to Breach Mannat’s Security
According to police reports, the intruder first attempted to enter Mannat, Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic home. Despite his efforts to scale the property’s high boundaries using an 8-foot ladder, the tight security around the premises thwarted his plans. CCTV footage from Mannat shows the suspect trying to climb the railing but failing to gain access.
This incident reportedly occurred on January 14, 2024, and the suspect was later spotted at Bandra Railway Station. The failed intrusion has reignited concerns about the safety of celebrities and their families.
Saif Ali Khan’s Heroic Act to Protect His Family
Details shared by Jeh’s nanny, Eliyamma, during an interrogation reveal Saif Ali Khan’s brave efforts to safeguard his son. The nanny recounted the harrowing experience of encountering the intruder late at night in Jeh’s room.
“When I tried to see who was there, I saw a person coming out of the bathroom and moving towards Jeh Baba’s (Jehangir’s) bed. I quickly got up and went to Jeh’s room. The attacker then put his finger near his mouth and said ‘Don’t make any noise, nobody will go out’ in Hindi. When I rushed to pick up Jeh, the man – who was armed with a wooden stick and a long Hexa blade – ran towards me and tried attacking me. At that time, I asked him, ‘What do you want?’. Then he said, ‘I want money.’ I asked, ‘How much do you want?’ Then he said in English, ‘One crore’.”

Hearing the commotion, Saif rushed to the scene, only to be attacked by the intruder. The brawl intensified, with other staff members, including Taimur’s nanny, Geeta, stepping in to help.
“When Saif sir came, the accused attacked him with the hexa blade and then also attacked Geeta (Taimur’s nanny), who had also come and tried to intervene.”
Eliyamma added.
The incident left Saif with six stab wounds, two of which were severe. He is currently recovering from his injuries at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai.
