Shah Rukh Khan recently shared insights into how his three kids, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, react when they watch his films, and it’s both adorable and interesting. Known as the ‘Baadshah’ of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has had a prolific career spanning over three decades, with a massive global fan following. Outside his professional success, he is married to Gauri Khan, and together they have three children.
During a recent media interaction at an event in Dubai for the promotion of his upcoming film, Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan opened up with a personal anecdote regarding his kids’ reactions to his movies.
He mentioned calling his children to watch his films, highlighting that Aryan is 26 years old, Suhana is 23, and AbRam is 10. He humorously reflected on the passage of time, realizing that he had been in the film industry for 34 years.
“Mera bacha hai 26 saal ka, bacha kya ab toh ghoda ho gaeya hai woh. Mere beti hai 23 saal ki, aur mera ek aur beta hai 10 saal ka. I didn’t realise that so many years have passed, I have worked in films for 34 years now, and there are days when I tell my children come watch my films.”
Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan shared that his kids, initially appreciative when watching his films, later started commenting on his looks and hair. He also mentioned how people on the internet create mimicry videos, making him feel awkward when watching his movies. Despite this, he acknowledged that there are some lovely moments captured in his films.
“Earlier, when I used to show them my films, they were nice but later on they started saying, ‘Papa how is your hair…look at the way you look.’ So, I became awkward. Today people do my mimicry on the internet, “I love you KKKK Kiran..” Maine kab aisa bola yaar. So, I get very awkward watching my own films. Having said that there are some lovely ones.”
Additionally, Shah Rukh Khan revealed a conversation with his older kids, Suhana and Aryan, during the successful meeting of Jawan. They requested him to work hard and deliver five hit films for their younger brother, AbRam, who hadn’t experienced their father’s stardom as much. This revealed a personal insight into the actor’s motivation and dedication to his craft.
