Samay Raina, the popular YouTuber and stand-up comedian, recently made an appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati alongside Tanmay Bhat and Bhuvan Bam. The special episode, hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, was filled with laughter and fun moments, especially due to Samay’s witty remarks. Known for his roast show India’s Got Latent, Samay took playful digs at Amitabh’s iconic film Sooryavansham, humorously mentioning that it was the first, second, and third Amitabh movie he had watched, thanks to its constant reruns on Sony Max.
The fun didn’t stop there. While sitting on the hot seat with Tanmay, and with Bhuvan watching from the audience, Samay jokingly quizzed Amitabh about a scene in Shahenshah, asking why his character tasted poisoned kheer a second time. Amitabh’s famous line, “Rishte mein toh hum tumhare baap lagte hain, naam hai Shahenshah,” prompted Samay to crack a hilarious response:
“Aapne beta bana hi diya hai toh property mein thoda hissa?” (If you’ve made me your son, can I have a share in your property?).
Amitabh couldn’t help but laugh at this cheeky remark.
The laughter continued as Samay shared an amusing story of his failed attempt to sneak into Amitabh’s famous Juhu bungalow, Jalsa. He humorously recounted how security chased him away, even claiming that the guards beat him up and his grandmother. As the clip ended, Samay, still in shock, said,
“Mujhe believe nahi ho raha sir aapko humare sath baithna pad raha hai” (I can’t believe you’re sitting with us).
Samay Raina rose to fame as a joint winner of Comicstaan season 2, alongside Aakash Gupta, and later launched his controversial roast show India’s Got Latent on YouTube. A passionate chess player, he started streaming chess matches during the pandemic. However, it’s his sharp wit and fearless comedy that continue to captivate his audience.
