Saif Ali Khan’s medical report has gone viral, raising several questions about the delay in his admission to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital following his attack on January 16, 2025.
The report claims that after the actor was attacked by Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, a Bangladeshi national, Saif was brought to the hospital by a family friend, Afsar Zaidi. The document has raised questions regarding the two-hour gap between the attack and the actor’s hospital admission, despite Lilavati Hospital being just 2 km away from Saif’s residence.
The Attack and Hospital Delay: What Happened?
Reports suggest that the actor was attacked at 2:30 AM, suffering multiple injuries including lacerations on his back, wrist, neck, shoulder, and abrasions on his elbow. However, Saif was admitted to the hospital at 4:11 AM, sparking concerns about the delay in medical attention.
Various reports have claimed that Saif’s son Taimur accompanied him to the hospital, while others mention Ibrahim. However, the official medical report suggests that a family friend, Afsar Zaidi, took Saif to the hospital.
Unanswered Questions and Safety Concerns
The delay in Saif’s hospital admission has raised significant questions, especially given the proximity of the hospital. The attack shocked the nation and highlighted growing concerns about the safety of Bollywood celebrities.
Mumbai Police have gathered evidence, including fingerprints found at Saif’s residence, but the case remains under investigation. The actor’s injuries, including six stab wounds and a knife dangerously lodged near his spine, added to the alarm.
Arrest of Shariful Islam Shehzad
On January 19, 2025, Mumbai Police arrested Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir in connection with the attack. However, Shariful’s father has claimed his son is innocent, disputing the identity of the attacker shown in CCTV footage and asserting that his son was framed.
“From what is shown in the CCTV… my son never keeps his hair long. I believe my son is being framed.”
Shariful’s father explained that his son had left Bangladesh due to political unrest and had come to India seeking a better life, where he worked and earned a living.
