In the WPL 2024 Final, Royal Challengers Bangalore secured their maiden title across franchise leagues, triumphing over Delhi Capitals.
The victory came as Smriti Mandhana’s RCB team clinched an eight-wicket win, seizing the second season of the Women’s Premier League at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium.
In pursuit of a target of 114, Royal Challengers (RCB), led by Mandhana, capitalized on crucial performances from Sophie Devine and Ellyse Perry, eventually reaching the target in the final over. Shreyanka Patil played a pivotal role for RCB, claiming four wickets to restrict Delhi Capitals to a total of 113 runs in 18.3 overs.

Heartiest congratulations to the RCB Women’s Team for winning the WPL. It would be a fantastic double if the RCB Men’s Team won the IPL which is long overdue. Good Luck.

Sophie Molineux’s impactful over, dismissing Shafali Verma, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Alice Capsey, turned the tide in favor of Royal Challengers, with their spinner accounting for nine wickets, a record in WPL history.
Despite this triumph, Royal Challengers Bangalore is yet to secure a title in the Indian Premier League.
