Ranveer Allahbadia has finally issued a public apology for his inappropriate remarks on India’s Got Latent. The social media influencer and entrepreneur addressed the controversy through an apology video.
Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as BeerBiceps, is a well-known Indian YouTuber, entrepreneur, and podcast host. Initially focusing on fitness content, he later expanded into lifestyle, entrepreneurship, and self-development. With 4.5 million followers on Instagram and over 10.5 million YouTube subscribers, Allahbadia is a significant digital presence.
In February 2025, he found himself at the center of controversy after making an inappropriate comment on comedian Samay Raina’s show, India’s Got Latent. A clip of the remark quickly went viral, drawing severe backlash from netizens and media outlets.
Political and Legal Fallout
The controversy escalated when multiple police complaints were filed against Allahbadia. The issue even reached political circles, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis weighing in:
“I have been informed about this, though I have not watched it yet. I came to know that it was very vulgar and this was wrong. Everyone has freedom of speech but this freedom ends when we encroach upon others’ freedom. Everyone has limits, if anyone crosses them, action will be taken”
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Apology: ‘Comedy is Not My Forte’
Acknowledging his mistake, BeerBiceps took to social media to express regret over his remarks. He admitted that comedy was not his strong suit and vowed to be more careful in the future.
During his appearance on India’s Got Latent, Allahbadia asked a contestant:
“Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever.”
The remark shocked not only the contestant but also Samay Raina, who immediately reacted, saying, “What the f**?”*
Realizing the gravity of the backlash, the 31-year-old influencer posted an apology video on X (formerly Twitter), captioned:
“I shouldn’t have said what I said on India’s got latent. I’m sorry.” In the video message, he said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte, I am just here to say sorry.”
In the video, he admitted:
“Obviously this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here for an apology. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It wasn’t cool on my part”
When asked about his platform’s impact, he clarified:
“This is not how I intend to use my platform. I won’t offer justifications—I’m here solely to apologize. I had a lapse in judgment, and that wasn’t cool on my part.”
A Commitment to Being More Responsible
Allahbadia further emphasized that as a content creator whose audience spans various age groups, he takes his responsibility seriously. He stated:
“The podcast is watched by people of all ages, I don’t want to be the kind of person that takes that responsibility lightly and family is the last thing I would ever disrespect”
He also urged the show’s producers to remove the offensive portion from the episode, stating:
“I promise to just get better. I have asked the makers of the video to remove the insensitive sections from the video and all I can say in the end is I am sorry. I hope you can forgive me as a human being”
