When booking a train or flight ticket, most travelers prefer window seats, especially when traveling alone. However, a recent incident left a passenger disappointed when the window seat he booked turned out to be an aisle seat on the Vande Bharat Express.
Passenger Highlights Seat Layout Error
Abhijeet Anand, traveling on the Vande Bharat Express from Varanasi to Prayagraj, faced this issue with seat number 34. Upon boarding, he discovered that the seat marked as a window seat on his ticket was actually an aisle seat, while seat number 33 was a window seat.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Abhijeet shared his experience by attaching a screenshot of his e-ticket and a picture of the seat arrangement. In his tweet, he clarified that he didn’t personally have a problem but advised the Indian Railways to address the issue for future passengers.
Tagging relevant officials, he wrote:
“Just a gentle reminder to check the seats 33 & 34 of C8 in 22435 for Window and Aisle Seating arrangement. I don’t have any problem with my current seat but this might become a problem for future passengers.

Indian Railways quickly acknowledged his grievance. The Railways Seva team responded:

Abhijeet thanked the Railways for their prompt action, sharing that two officials arrived to address the problem and rectified it within 40 minutes. He praised Indian Railways for their efficiency, stating:
