Indian weddings are known for their extravagance and fun-filled moments, often peppered with unexpected events. Recently, a humorous incident featuring a Punjabi bride and police officers caught everyone’s attention online. Aanchal Arora, an influencer bride, was stopped by Punjab Police during her haldi ceremony.
In the viral video, Aanchal’s car was halted by two cops at a traffic light.
When approached, the bride, dressed in her haldi attire, explained in Punjabi that it was her special day and requested the officers to let her go.
Adding a playful twist, another person in the car offered the officers a box of laddoos in exchange for sparing them from a challan. The cops, amused by the cheerful bride’s request, replied with a laugh, asking for sweets later to “make their day sweet too.”
The video showed Aanchal joyfully promising to deliver the laddoo ka dabba while waving at the officers. Although the exchange ended on a light-hearted note, netizens were quick to question the scenario. Many remarked that a groom wouldn’t have received the same leniency.

Once the video was shared online, reactions poured in. While some appreciated the humor and spontaneity of the situation, others pointed out the perceived bias. Comments like, “If it was a groom, things wouldn’t have ended this way,” and “Bribed by laddoo!” highlighted mixed sentiments.
This quirky incident has since sparked conversations about fairness while adding a touch of humor to wedding-day memories. What are your thoughts on this sweet yet controversial moment?
