Shahrukh Khan made a comeback to the big screens after a staggering hiatus of almost 4 years as his Pathaan is rocking the silver screens now that also stars Deepika Padukone, John Abraham and for a cameo Salman Khan.
Pathaan has been directed by Siddharth Anand and this is the fourth installment in the YRF Spy universe. The earlier three were Ek tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda hai, and War. The story of Pathaan centers around Shahrukh Khan who is an outcast from the ranks of RAW and is being summoned to pull off the role of a sentinel against a terror organization called Outfit X.
This movie brought out Shahrukh in an unprecedented avatar where he goes all ballistic and brings out the badass in the Badshah of Bollywood. In the trailer Pathaan belts out a dialogue stating, “Ek soldier ye nahi puchta, desh ne uske liye kya kiya. Puchta hai, vo desh ke liye kya kar sakta hai.”
Pathan has been released in three languages that includes Hindi, Tamil and Telegu. It has been reported to be released over 5000 screens.
As reported by Times Now, the OTT rights of the movie have been handed over to Amazon Prime Video for a whopping INR 100 crore but the date for the film’s release on the OTT platform is still to be divulged officially.
However, going by the unofficial hearsays, it is said that the movie will be released on the OTT platform after 3 months of its release that suggests the fact that the fans will be able to get a glimpse of the same in April.
Pathaan has already surpassed Thugs of Hindostan and War to become the third most advanced Bollywood movie being booked ever after Baahubali and KGF 2. As of January 23rd, the movie already sold over 4.19 lakh tickets.
