In the recent times, it has become crucial to have a sound online presence, then be it for any celebrity or government institution. Being active on social media platforms help a particular individual or a whole department to keep the people well aware about their lifestyle, the work culture as well as increase their fan base at the same time. After all, public interaction is necessary to continue being in the buzz.
Mumbai Police is one of the most socially active and savvy police department in India. For quite a frequent times, the department has worked towards educating people on how to tackle Covid-19, especially while drawing a reference to our Bollywood stars.
Recently, Mumbai Police did something similar when they posted a picture of Abhishek Bachchan, with a caption that read:
“Abhi fist bump, ‘Shek’ hands when it’s safer please”. Interestingly, the caption of the image was, “‘Guru’, Mumbai ho ya ‘Delhi-6’ feet distance zaruri hai! Social distancing ko ‘abhi alvida na kehna’.”

In the caption, Mumbai Police broke down Abhishek’s first name in two order, which is ‘Abhi’ in order to give the message that people should avoid indulging into a handshake for now and in place, use fist bumps. They further educated people to maintain social distancing by referring to movies of Junior Bacchan, such as Delhi 6, Guru and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
The post was soon noticed by Abhishek and re-shared it by writing in the caption:
“Couldn’t agree more @mumbaipolice Ghar baitho, family ke saath “Dhoom” machao, “Ludo” khelo. Safe raho.”
