Actress Tripti Dimri is making headlines after she reportedly charged ₹5 lakhs to attend an event in Jaipur hosted by the Women Entrepreneurs of FICCI FLO but failed to show up. Despite being in Jaipur to promote her upcoming film, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, her absence sparked outrage among attendees.
According to a Mid-Day report, the actress was paid ₹5.5 lakhs for her appearance but did not fulfill her commitment. This led to the event organizers expressing their fury, with some threatening to boycott Tripti and her future projects.
Videos from the event circulated on social media, showing angry women blackening her poster. One of them was heard shouting, “Mooh kaala karo iska.”
An organizer who had paid half of the total fee expressed her frustration, stating,
“Jaipur should boycott Triptii Dimri. Hum usspe case karenge. I had transfer half the money and was about to transfer the other half, but I stopped because they were telling me to wait for 5 minutes. I don’t know why, but I gave them half and they still have the other half. The total deal was Rs 5.5 lakh rupees. Jaipur should boycott her movies because they have insulted us today. After taking money, changing times. She is running away and she disrespected us, so lets run away from her movies.”
Apparently Tripti was supposed to attend an event in Jaipur which she skipped.

The backlash intensified when videos were shared on platforms like Reddit, with netizens voicing their disbelief. One user commented, “That’s outrageous; flaking on the day of the event is incredibly disrespectful. Her management team is definitely going to face consequences.”
On a more positive note, Tripti Dimri recently walked the ramp with her Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 co-star, Kartik Aaryan, at the ‘Namo Bharat – Walk for Courage, Walk for Service, and Walk for Heritage’ event, where she dazzled in a pink lehenga, while Kartik wore a black embroidered sherwani. The scheduling conflict between the two events might have contributed to the misunderstanding.
Tripti Dimri began her acting career in 2017 with Poster Boys, gaining recognition with Laila Majnu in 2018. She made her digital debut in Netflix’s Bulbbul in 2020 and earned acclaim for her role in Qala in 2022, later becoming a sensation after portraying ‘Zoya’ in Animal. She is set to appear next in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
