Singer Mika Singh has announced a generous reward of Rs 1 lakh for Bhajan Singh Rana, the auto-rickshaw driver who rushed actor Saif Ali Khan to the hospital after an intruder injured him at his Bandra residence. Bhajan, unaware of Saif’s identity at the time, had initially declined any payment for his timely assistance.
Sharing a photo of Saif and Bhajan on Instagram, Mika Singh wrote, “This man’s heroic act deserves recognition. I strongly feel he should be rewarded with at least Rs 11 lakh for saving one of India’s beloved superstars. If anyone can help me connect with him, I’d like to offer Rs 1 lakh as a token of my gratitude.”
Bhajan’s Noble Gesture
Bhajan, while recounting the incident, revealed that he was unaware of Saif’s identity when he offered his help. “His back was injured, and he was bleeding. I felt terrible seeing him in pain but didn’t know it was Saif Ali Khan until he got down at Lilavati Hospital with his son,” Bhajan shared. Despite his selfless act, Bhajan has not been contacted by Saif’s family or Kareena Kapoor.
The Attack on Saif Ali Khan
The incident occurred when an intruder, later identified as Mohd Shariful Islam Shehzad, broke into Saif’s home intending to steal. During the confrontation, Saif was stabbed in the thoracic spine while attempting to intervene and protect his housemaid.
Mika Singh’s announcement highlights the importance of acknowledging everyday heroes like Bhajan Singh Rana, who acted selflessly during a critical moment.
