While there are many who got lucky in Bollywood, all thanks to nepotism, on the other hand, many of them had to struggle a lot before they made it big in Bollywood. Some of them were doing odd jobs before they entered the Bollywood industry and took it by storm.

1. Ranveer Singh:

However, before making it big in Bollywood, the actor worked at advertising agencies like Ogilvy and Mather and J. Walter Thompson as a copywriter.

2. Akshay Kumar:

The Khiladi Kumar is one of the superstars of Bollywood. The actor has been ruling at the box-office for many years now. But before making it big in the Bollywood industry, the actor used to be a chef and worked as a waiter in a Bangkok-based restaurant. After returning back to India, Akshay wanted to become a Martial Arts teacher, but fate took him in a different direction, and eventually, he became one of the biggest stars of Bollywood.

3. Amitabh Bachchan:

The mega-star of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan wanted to make a career as a radio jockey, however, he was rejected because the channel didn’t like his voice. Later on, Big B joined Shaw Wallace, a shipping firm as an executive and even went on to work as a freight broker for a shipping company called Bird and Co.

4. Nawazuddin Siddiqui:

One of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has seen many hard days in his life before making it big in the Bollywood industry. He became a chemist to support his family of 8 siblings. After working as a watchman for 2 years, Nawazuddin enrolled himself in National School of Drama, and from there, his life changed.

5. Ayushmann Khurrana:

Ayushmann Khurrana started his career with MTV Roadies and later worked as a Radio Jockey with Big FM in Delhi and later on joined MTV as a VJ. He is currently one of the most talented actors present in Bollywood.

6. Parineeti Chopra:

Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra wanted to become an investment banker in London. She completed her degree in Business Finance and Economics from Manchester Business School. She interned at Yash Raj Films in their marketing and public relations team.

7. Bhumi Pednekar:

Bhumi was working as an assistant to casting director Shanoo Sharma before she made her debut with Dum Laga Ke Haisha.

8. John Abraham:

Before making it big as an actor, John Abraham tried modeling and was doing quite well. In 2003, he made his Bollywood debut with an erotic thriller Jism opposite Bipasha Basu.

9. R Madhavan:

Before making it big in the movie industry, R Madhavan was working as a trainer in public speaking and personality development.

10. Arshad Warsi:

From working as a door-to-door cosmetic salesman to working in a photo-lab, Arshad Warsi did many small jobs to earn his bread and butter, before he made it big in Bollywood.

11. Sunny Leone:

Everyone is aware of the fact that before Sunny Leone entered Bollywood, she was working as an adult movie star. However, even before that, the actress worked at a German bakery and then worked at a tax and retirement firm.

12. Boman Irani:

Boman Irani had his fair share of struggle. The actor was working as a waiter and room service attendant at Taj Mahal Hotel before he entered the movie industry. The actor also used to help his mother in running their ancestral bakery shop in Mumbai.
