Still, one moment stood out when Karan humorously responded to a fan’s comment about giving ‘shagun’ to Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant during their wedding festivities.
During a segment of the show called “Komment Ki Khujli,” a photo of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor attending Anant Ambani’s wedding was shown. One fan commented, “Alia be like, ‘Let’s check what they are serving in the buffet. Ussi hisaab se lifafe me shagun denge’.” While Alia laughed at the remark, Karan quickly chimed in with a witty response, saying, “Unko kya shagun hum denge? Aukaat hi nahi hai,” meaning they couldn’t afford to give the Ambanis a ‘shagun,’ which left the audience in splits.
Karan Johar is no stranger to handling mean comments.
Previously, when a user questioned him about the biological mother of his twins, Yash and Roohi, Karan responded confidently, stating, “I am!!! I am so worried about your confused state, so I had to answer your pertinent and relevant query.”
